In addition to our uncompromising yacht design services, Karen Lynn Interiors offers our personalized interior design services for private aircraft clients. Whether the aircrafts' requirements are for Part 91 or 135 Charter Certification, Karen can customize your design to meet project requirements and the requirements of the F.A.A. (Federal Aviation Administration.) Karen specifies and oversees the necessary burn testing and laboratory testing for all materials selected for her designs, and will provide 8110-3 Certification for all materials for DER log book entries also necessary for F.A.A. requirements. Karen Lynn Interiors can work with any completion center or hanger which allows the client the freedom to choose their completion center or hanger of choice anywhere in the world. So whether a refurbishment of an existing aircraft or a new factory aircraft, Karen Lynn Interiors is able to work with clients in all phases of aircraft design.
In 2003, Karen designed and supervised the extensive refurbishments of two Gulfstream III jets which were done at a Palm Beach County hanger of the clients’ choice. The refurbishment included galley modifications, redesign of seats, reveneering of over 90% of the aircrafts’ woodwork, modification of mid cabin doors, new overhead, new MSA window shades, new plating throughout, new lighting in PSU, flat screen monitor and wireless headset installation, two new divans which convert into sleepers, new carpet, leather seats, wall upholstery and installation of an inverter for a new microwave.
